Billie Piper goes heavy on the glamour

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Motherhood clearly agrees with Billie Piper.

After months spent at home caring for her baby son Winston, the actress made a triumphant return to London's social scene last night.

In a bang-on-trend Parisian outfit she bore more than a passing resemblance to Claudia Schiffer as she sashayed her way back onto the circuit.

Although she has been away from the spotlight, she showed at the TV Quick awards ceremony that her fashion radar is still well-tuned.

I'm not grown-up enough for my baby -

Doctor Who star Billie Piper reckons she's too daft to be a mum.

The 26-year-old actress - who has a 10-month-old son Winston with husband Laurence Fox - thinks she is too young and immature to have a child.

And she worries she'll fill his head with rubbish. She said: "You think having a child will kind of centre you as a person because you're a parent and therefore you're supposed to be a grown-up.

"But, if anything, I think about the fact that I'm not grown up enough.

"The fear sets in when passing your knowledge on to your child

"You realise you don't want to fill his head with a load of rubbish. I need to really think about what I believe in before I tell him anything. There's a lot of soul-searching."

What Billie Piper Talks about being a Call Girl

There are big changes for both Billie and Belle in the second series of the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

While Belle embarks on a proper relationship a pregnant Billie had to cope with filming the new series

“One of the biggest changes is that Belle manages to fall in love,” explains Billie.
“This puts pressure on her to change profession and I think it really freaks her out. It starts to dictate everything she does and she finds that overwhelming.

“Callum, who plays Belle’s boyfriend Alex, is a great guy and a really good actor who searches for the truth in things. He is emotionally gifted and very honest; the sort of actor who has lots of emotions at his fingertips ready to use in the tougher scenes. I find that impressive. We worked well together. I think it is a believable chemistry and we enjoyed each others company.”

Billie Piper saves the sinking style

The great and the good of the television world turned out for the TV Quick Awards last night – along with a double dose of style flops.

The night belonged to Ant and Dec after the Geordie duo cleaned up at the ceremony, taking home a hat trick of gongs, including Best Entertainment Show for Saturday Night Takeaway and an Outstanding Contribution award to mark 20 years on Britain’s TV screens.
