A few weeks ago we had the scoop that Lionsgate Entertainment is planning a June 30th release of Secret Diary of a Call Girl - Season 2 on DVD. At the time we only had that date, and some basic specs, but now listings at retailers such as DVDEmpire.com have updated their pre-order info with new details, and package art as well. We've confirmed that this will be a 2-disc set with all 8 episodes, plus the webisodes that were shown online, and also a brand-new interview with show star Billie Piper. And, as you can see, Piper looks simply fabulous on the package art, shown below.
Updated specs provided to retailers inform us that this will run 180 minutes, with widescreen video, English 5.1 audio, and subtitles in English and Spanish. It will also be closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Cost is $29.98 SRP. Piper's (Doctor Who) fellow cast members once again include Callum Blue (The Tudors, Dead Like Me), Iddo Goldberg (Defiance) and Cherie Lunghi (Excalibur), and they are joined this year by Ashley Madekwe (How to Lost Friends & Alienate People) as "Bambi". Well, what did you expect from a show about call girls?
